Well done Punter. It's been an interesting read; I hope things go as well next year.

Cheers TC, and well done yourself this season again. I'm sure we'll both show profit again next season but i'm also sure as hell i'm not going to find another Atletico Madrid.
Im going to drop a few Liverpool trips in order to go watch Hereford a bit more in 2014/15, i've tailed off as a Conference punter in recent seasons so i need to start watching again. I'll make sure there's a Conference thread up every week :thumb

Yep,very well done Punter even though your enormous profit has fucked me up!

See,I'm very very honest and so from now on,whenever I tell people about the merits of ante post accumulators I will have to mention your performance just doing singles!:frown

I suppose that just getting people to do any ante post bets is still a worthwhile thing to do however....and I guess I could point out that you yourself have said you may never find another Atletico.Though I disagree.

Actually there is something about Punters huge profit that has got me wondering.

What I'm wondering is how many people will actually do Punters bets next season(and the next, and the next)because of this threads result. One of the most surprising things I've learnt from my time on gambling forums is that it seems that hardly anyone actually does the bets of even successful posters.Very strange if true.

But surely there will be more now?

Well done again Punter and best of luck for next season.I may have to cancel my plans for retirement if you keep this up:)

Cheers Hotspur. And well done yourself.

It's whatever suits the individual i guess. If you look at Yours, ThunderCelts and my style of Ante post betting, we've all shown profit but by doing it differently.
I just target May as a pick up point for an injection of income, as long as i can break even i can justify it.

The weekend coupon is in decline for me, there just doesn't seem to be enough value out there anymore, either that or i'm finding it harder to pick a winner. I'll continue having a go but i've lowered the amounts i stake on it this season, opting for an ante post bet instead of having a go sometimes.

I couldn't have put it better my self; I'm finding myself concentrating on anteposts, too. :thumb I'm also finding ante multiples are more profitable than singles, but Punter's shown that's not necessarily always the case.

Hereford kicked out of conference for not paying debts. Another sad day for small football clubs and Punter.

Aye. It's particularly cruel after seeing their wild celebrations when they beat us to stay up on the final day .

    Aye, it's shit fellas.

There's more to it than meets the eye too, so i'm told. Anybody who know's the ground will know it's a bit of a shit tip, it's safe enough and acceptable to us but not so to the council and local authorities etc. They dont give two shits whether there's a football club or not.

Next to the ground is the old cattle market that closed years ago. The powers that be want to put a mega shopping center there, but investors wont want it there with a football ground and eyesore next too it. United's chairman, the man that has promised so much is probably part of the team that ensures the ground will be knocked down and the shopping center up.

They want the club gone (or at least moved). So even if a millionaire would come and pay our debts off, they would soon realise that it's pretty pointless and they'd be fighting a losing battle from the off.

It is a sad day for Hereford.
I do remember visiting the ground in the 80s , watching my side Porthmadog v Hereford in the Welsh Cup
I must admit to being disappointed with the ground then as I had expections with them being a league club and I had visited Goodison and Anfield as a youngster.

I hope it turns out positive for them but their future looks bleak from your comments.

Never like seeing anything like that happen to any club. Debts of 225k, absolutely fuck all in comparison to all the money around in football these days. Compare them to the likes of Portsmouth or QPR and the debts they've run up.

Good luck Punter, hope they bounce back.

Yes, 'tis good to see. :) I always enjoyed trips there, win or lose. I hope the journey is as fun as Aldershot's was.
