Brazil will win tonight...won't they? No matter how much they're favourites and in front of their own fans, etc etc I find it very hard to back them at 3/10, so I've had a minimum stakes double chance on Croatia at Bet365's 11/4.

And a punt on Oribe Peralta to be Mexico's top scorer at Sky's 11/4. I confess I've not heard of him, but looking at his record he seems to be more prolific for his country than Man Utd's Hernandez, so the odds have tempted me.

Taken Brazil in play when they equalised at 4/9 for a very small profit.

Good luck with the top scorer bet TC, i quite fancy Mexico tonight so hopefully he'll bag a couple for you.

Although the draw is being clipped this morning, I think the 13/10 about Mexico looks the better bet.

I'm on the draw in Mexico-Cameroon. That's because with Brazil 'certain' to take a qualifying place, the side losing tonight will almost certainly go home so I think we could see both sides playing not to lose rather than to win.

Sorry, Punter, I can't wish you luck with your Mexico bet!

Nice call on Mexico, Punter. I wasn't expecting there to be so much between the sides. And I'm happy with Piralta's goal :), although dos Santos of course should have had two by then.

I've taken dos Santos to be Mexico's top scorer at 8/1, a hedge against Peralta who I took early on. Dos Santos looked the most likely of the two in the first game, where of course he had two good goals disallowed.

Looks good cover TC and you're in good form.

Brazil to win a high scoring game? I've played some high, correct scores with small stakes.

Hoping for another good performance from Oscar too. I've a bet on him being player of the tournament @ 16/1

Good luck Punter. I've just had a few bob on over 2.5 (4/6) so I hope it's a high scorer too :crossfingers Both sides look good going forward, while Brazil can be shaky at the back. Mexico's defence wasn't seriously tested last time against a modest Cameroon attack so is an unknown as far as I'm concerned.

I done well not to have a bet on the Brazil game. I was itching to have a punt but I did think Mexico would give Brazil a game but I never would have imagined a zero zero. I thought Cameroon were poor in first game v Mexico so fancy both Croatia and Brazil to beat them but the bookies obviously think the same as odds are piss.

Two games and no goals conceded by Mexico. Mmm Dark horses to progress past the first round of the group stage? They could well top the group and meet Chile in the next round and who would rule it out?

Croatia looked good in their opening game, despite losing to Brazil. Cameroon didn't look good in losing to Mexico. Cameroon are without Eto'o; Croatia welcome Mandzukic back. I've gone for Croatia at Paddy's 7/10.

Cameroon are really poor. Idiotic red card for Song, what a dick.

What a plonker. Although he did stroke out he never got him with the full brunt of the elbow either.

Roger Miller could probably still do better than this lot at the age of 107.

Easily the worst team at this years finals, even allowing for them only having 10 men. Awful defending and toothless up front.

I've been piling all sorts of bets on Mexico. Skybet gave me a free £18 bet (i've never had one that big off them before) so i stuck it on the Mexicans to make the Semi Finals at 10/1. Took some 110 @ betdaq outright too. They have impressed me so far, have massive support and as you say two clean sheets. A tough one v Croatia but if they get past that, i think they can beat either Chile or the Dutch.

I'm not betting on the Brazil game - they're rightly overwhelming favourites by ridiculously short.

I'm on over 2.5 in the Croatia/Mexico game at the general 11/10. Neither side has looked particularly 'overish' to me, especially Mexico, but with only one likely to qualify I can see this becoming very open late on.
