Saturday Quarters. I have no bloody idea. I'm certainly leaving the Frogs alone. It should be England by about 12 but...

Rain, wind has eased in Wellington, apparently. I'm going with youth and fitness to prevail in the capital, over gnarled 'know-how-to-win' types.

    2pts Finalists: Wales v Australia @ 25-1.
    15 pts Wales + 2 @ evens
    3 pts Wales by 6-10 @ 6-1

Fascinating. (I'm referring to the games coming up!)

Good luck Chukcker, I'm just going to enjoy tomorrows games as they are a bit too close for my liking.
I'll go along with Wales though and youth prevailing, Ireland are a good team but probably peaked a couple of yrs ago, great win nevertheless to beat the Aussies but you know in a rematch the Aussies would be ready for them just as Wales should be tomorrow. without that win Wales would probably have been favourites tomorrow.

Theres been a lot of todo about who will kick for England too and rightly so as it will be vital in the match against France, Johnson seems to be sticking with stalwart Wilkinson who's having a bit of a mare kicking wise in this comp, whilst the few times it has been left to Flood he's been knocking them over for fun. I just hope Johson picks with his brain and not his heart.

I thought the Welsh Ireland game was a cracker but as Chucker mentioned last night youth did tell in the end, Wales ran the legs off Ireland, Credit to Ireland though for giving it a go, especially those two pens in the first half they kicked into the corner rather than going for goal, mistake maybe? I don't know as Wales no matter what seem to have it within themsleves to score when pressed unlike the other shower of shite England who thought they just had to turn up to each the semis.

Great rugby with no cards, disputes, moans etc. Well done Messrs Joubert and Walsh. And the Irish fans who seem, across the interwebs, to be taking it on the chin. Jamie Roberts (outside centre) was a bit good for Wales -- George North hardly got into it. More to come from him in the semis. Rugby was the winner today.

Tomorrow, Australia! Conditions continue to improve in Wellington and the Aussies (like Wales) have a wider range of threats and the ability to play heads-up, incisive rugby under a top coach.

10 pts Australia to go through @ 4/5
    I pt first try James O'Connor @ 12-1

Australia were terrible, shocking. Quade Cooper a nightmare game. How they won that with 24% of territory baffles this bloke. But they did. :devilish

Kiwis were also not much. One real line break. You'd want to be Welsh tonight.

Meanwhile, in the run up to the semis, here's Pie in 'Dallas' in 1983. Just to prove you can have once had Victoria Principal stroking you arm in bed and be a dodgy rugby tipster.
