11.05 Turffontein - MIGHTY GEMINI and UNPLAYABLE - Workriders Maiden, so anything is possible. MG returns from a break today, makes his track debut and is the top trainer's only runner on the day. Not shown enough yet to be too confident, but ought to be capable of better at 25's. Unplayable has shown nothing in 2 runs since relocating here, but went off FAV just 5 runs ago. If nothing else has the plum draw today at 100's.

11.40 Turffontein - JET TO PARIS - Had 4 runs to date and finally looks to be getting the hang of things. Most of these are less exposed, but still happy with JTP at 14's.

12.05 Turffontein - LAPTOP WIZARD and ALPHAMIKEFOXTROT - Couple of " price things " at 28's and 33's respectively, as none of the shorter ones appeal.

12.50 Turffontein - CHARITY QUEEN - Looks to have some ability and hoping the application of blinkers has the desired effect at 25's.

1.25 Turffontein - BRAXTON - Not in peak form recently, but running OK and weighted to get closer to the FAV at 12's.

2.00 Turffontein - DAN THE LAD - Drops heavily in class today and does have a solid course record, so very happy going in at 12's.

3.10 Turffontein - Combination FC / TC with these -

O LUCKY MAN at 10's
AEROBATIC at 12's
GIVEMEHOPE at 33's

3.45 Turffontein - CARIBBEAN QUEEN - Starting to look very well handicapped and this slightly in between distance of 1450m, might just prove ideal. Questions to answer, but this is reflected by the 25's on offer.

4.10 Newbury - CHATHAM HOUSE - Nicely bred newcomer, who represents a top stable at 11's.

6.45 Lingfield - GIOVANNI MEDICI - First time tongue - tie applied and this, plus the step up in trip can bring about improvement at 10's.

7.45 Lingfield - ARBUCKLE - 2nd of 3 starts actually read quite well and willing to back him based solely on that at 40's.

8.30 Haydock - CAMPION - Quickly down 9lbs and this should be a big help at 12's

3.35 Newbury - BLAME ROBERTA and VENA D'AMORE at 20's and 50's respectively.

Sunday 22nd July

11.30 Greyville - CARIBBEAN MIST - Decent enough trial run and EW appeal on official debut at 20's.

12.05 Greyville - MYSTICAL SUMMER - Possible improver at 25's

1.45 Curragh - PORTERINTHEJUNGLE - Some appeal on pedigree and Ronan Whelan an encouraging jockey booking. Tough venue for a small trainer to win at, but small EW nonetheless at 66's.

5.15 Curragh - PATRICE'S WISH - Probably should be handicapping today, but has shown ability in 3 starts to date and the step up in trip looks fine. Thinking this is the best of the " rags " at 80's

5.40 Stratford - PAC IT IN - Much better last time, though will need to improve again at 20's.

Monday 23rd July

3.30 Flamingo Park - YESAN STAR at 10's

4.00 Flamingo Park - DUKE'S IDOL at 20's

7.50 Ballinrobe - ALMONTASER at 10's

8.10 Windsor - SAGUARO at 40's

8.40 Windsor - OPTIMUM TIME at 25's

9.00 Beverley - IDEAL ANGEL at 25's

Fancy Busby to outrun its price tomorrow at chelmsord 840. Currently 25/1 with Ladbrokes

11.05 Vaal - BUGLE PLAYER - 11/2 on debut and an early 100's today on 3rd start. Definitely needs to find more, but drop in trip should suit and certainly nicely enough bred. Probably worth a crack at the price and should open shorter on course.

11.40 Vaal - SNOWBALLED - Showed some improvement last time on 4th start and was FAV for debut run. Ability has at least been confirmed and hoping the addition of blinkers can do the trick at 40's.

12.15 Vaal - PEAPACK - Improved last run at long-odds and interesting today at 20's with top jockey up.

12.50 Vaal - MISS RELIABLE - Potentially interesting Aussie bred newcomer and will be shocked if the early 16's holds.

2.35 Vaal - GENTLEMAN ONLY - Continues to drop in the ratings and is the trainer's only runner today. Top jockey employed and does run the course well at 20's

11.05 Vaal - Already with one at a price, so adding 2 unraced in SOLID SATIN at 10's and EXCELLENT AL at 16's, in the hope of a miracle forecast.

Wednesday 25th July

12.10 Scottsville - PHOTOGRAPH - Showed nothing in two starts over much shorter but she appeared badly in need of her stable debut after a 28 week rest. Half-sister to Baracah who stayed really well so this test of stamina could bring about plenty of improvement at 18's.

12.45 Scottsville - RAINBOWINTHESKY - Two fair comeback runs and whilst still above last winning mark, does possess speed and tends to run her race at 25's. CUMULUS looks to hold a strong chance, but bit short for me at 7's. Will add though for the forecast.

2.35 Scottsville - MARK MY CARD - All 4 c & d efforts read quite well and continues to drop in the ratings. 3 car park draws in a row not helped and capable of much better at 20's.

3.45 Scottsville - BLAZE OF SILK - Fair post maiden effort and his initial mark looks fair. Trainer's only runner today and capable of making late headway at 22's.

Thursday 26th July

12.20 Vaal - BURINDI - Top 3 in the market are 7/2 or less and for me this is the most likely of the " rags " at 80's. certainly bred to be better than his first 2 starts suggest.

3.15 Vaal - BIG PARADE - Stable 3rd string, but has hinted at ability and has been gelded since last run. Possible big improver at 25's.

3.50 Vaal - CUMBERLAND - First sign of life in a while on latest start and remains dangerous off the same mark at 12's.

6.50 Limerick - REDWOOD BOY and PERSONNAL SHOPPER - Two poor showings since 33/1 win for RB in May and hoping the change in jockey can have a positive effect at 14's. PS is back off a long break and has just the one success to her name. Often runs well though, so another worth an EW crack at 20's.

Slight drift, but scraped home by a head at 14's
