7.25 Greyville - CADDY MASTER and HERO'S WELCOME - Neither is that consistent, but one / both could easily pop up at 25's and 40's respectively.

Bit gutted by the run of ECCELLERATE as for just 25p trebles it would have been around 2.6K. Never seriously put in the race, yet not actually beaten that far.

8.25 Greyville - FLEXIBLE FUGITIVE - 12 runners and can't have half of them at any price and the fancied runners all look to have a similar form chance. FF is an ex DeKock runner, who is having his 3rd run for the yard and has hopefully settled in to his new surroundings at 16's.

Certainly still a good day Punt, but the manner of ECCELLERATE's defeat was annoying. Was never seriously put in the race and still finished within 4 Lengths of the winner. Of course, better than the alternative which was the jockey trying his nuts off and getting inevitably done in a photo. Always rankles with me when I have a chance to win something major for small stakes and come up short, but still happy for the two I got.

Fancied a couple of the others as well today, but they were hot garbage and these just added to the frustration. Did not have time to have a good look at the English action, so just hoping I did not miss anything

I do remember a Hove dogs Lucky 15 from years ago where the first 3 picks won ( all at decent prices ) and the final pick came 2nd. The beaten dog ran again next week ( again up against the same dog, from the same trap ) and not only turned the tables on this dog, but won the race as well.

2.05 Beverley - IRV - Unfancied and finished 9th on debut, but was going OK when getting stopped at a crucial time. Certainly bred to be decent and natural improvement has this one going close at 16's.

2.15 Yarmouth - WELD ALDAR - Holds a Derby entry and does look an interesting newcomer at 12's

3.15 Beverley - DANCING RAVE - Nicely related debutante at 14's.

5.05 Yarmouth - ENTERTAINING BEN - Tends to race more on the AW nowadays, but remains effective on turf and the drop back to 5f will suit at 16's.

6.25 Galway - TOUGH TIGRESS - Looks a tricky race for a newcomer to make an impact, but does look quite nicely bred and simply could not resist the 100's on offer.

DR a nice winner at a drifting 20's and EB only just got collared on the line. TT did not run.

Wednesday 1st August

12.50 Durbanville - TROU AUX BICHES and COZY CHESTNUT - No prices yet, so betting blind, but TAB looks nicely bred on debut and CC looks a once raced possible improver.

2.45 Redcar - WADDINGTON - Slow away and too keen on debut. Gelded since then and cheekpieces added and certainly bred to do better at 66's.

5.10 Galway - ANOTHER CYCLONE - Reasonable hurdling debut at Ballinrobe and whilst plenty to find in first-time cheekpieces, the race looks to lack strength in depth and not too sure how many he has to beat at 33's.

6.55 Sandown - DIVINE GIFT - Half-brother to 1m-1m2f Listed winner Mia Tesoro, so nice to see this one debuting at 7f. Stable does well with its juveniles and feel the 20's may prove too big.

Thursday 2nd August

10.45 Vaal - TRUMPS TRIUMPH and SNOWBALLED - TT is a once race possible improver at 10's and Snowballed is getting one last chance from me at 33's.

12.30 Vaal - LOJA LADY and STORMY EMBLEM - LL looks a nicely bred debutante at 11's and SE is a possible " dark horse 2 at 66's.

2.10 Nottingham - RETICENT ANGEL - Nicely bred debutante at 10's.

2.50 Vaal - VIRGINIA MOON - Holds fair recent form and this race looks easier than his normal races at 10's.

4.00 Vaal - PIUS OIL - Been running OK recently and is on a fair looking mark at 22's.

5.50 Galway - ROCKWELL ANNIE - Nicely bred newcomer and represents a small, but at least a local trainer at 66's.

6.25 Newmarket - COLONEL SLADE at 20's

6.35 Wolverhampton - SAEDI GHAARH at 33's

6.50 Galway - LAW GIRL at 16's

Saturday 4th August

11.45 Flamingo Pk - TIMEOFTHEVIKINGS and WINTER TRADE at 12's and 40's respectively.

12.20 Flamingo Pk - LEAPS AND BOUNDS - Unreliable sort, but plenty of recent win and place form at 10's.

12.55 Flamingo Pk - WINDY FLIGHT - Last 2 starts much better and is getting at weight at 12's from most of his main rivals. Not sure the early 12's will last.

1.35 Flamingo Pk - MUSIC WORLD - Takes on lesser company today and potentially very well handicapped at 25's.

2.15 Flamingo Pk - PORTMAN SQUARE - Consistency not his strong suit, but better off with a couple of these on recent running's and still some EW potential at 20's

2.50 Flamingo Pk - SAINT MARCO - Happy to see this one dropped back in trip at 33's.

2.30 Galway - CLUTCHING AT STAWS - Stable in fair nick and get a newcomer ready at 40's

2.40 Newmarket - PORCELAIN GIRL and COTABUNANA - PG the more sensible one at 10's as should have more to give. Cotabunana was a nice 5th last time out in listed company, though arguably needs to find more. Still some EW appeal at 25's.

4.00 Thirsk - ARROWTOWN - Back to best in autumn and not disgraced on return in April. Fair sort at best and definite EW appeal at 18's.

5.10 Thirsk - SOAR ABOVE - Hinted at ability and interesting on handicap debut at 20's.

5.15 Doncaster - PALMER - Not disgraced last time in better company and lurking on a very nice mark at 16's.

5.55 Galway - Plenty of rubbish in this race and just hoping that these 3 aren't amongst them -
