Horse Racing Bets 16th September 2023

10.50 La Lion D'Angers - ZEPHYR DE LA MARE - Decent debut, but then went backwards on both subsequent starts. Had a nice 133 day break, so hopefully will come back stronger today at 14's.

11.10 Turffontein - INAFIX and TWENTY DRACHMA'S - Top 2 in the betting look tough to beat, but Inafix is a nicely bred newcomer at 33's and TD can improve for debut run at 50's.

12.50 Turffontein - SOVEREIGNS CALL - Went off FAV on disappointing debut and maybe just slight improvement on 2nd start ( two horses have come out the race, with one winner and one place ) Would expect more today at 20's.

2.00 Turffontein - HAWKBILL - Not disgraced last time in a grade 2 and has the first time blinkers added today at 6's.

2.50 Chantilly - LAULNE - 3 from 5 overall and should not mind the drop in trip today at 3's.

11.40 Turffontein - ARCTIC COMMANDER and RUGGED LOVER - 8 runner event, so happy taking a chance on these 2 outsiders at 20's and 40's respectively.

2.15 Chantilly - WOFF - Not sure about the drop in trip, but arrives in fair form at 16's.

2.45 Navan - WALHAAN - Touch below par recently on the flat, but had been running well in hurdles and a return to obstacles a plus at 25's

2.50 Bath - WILLY CAMPBELL - Not a lot on debut, but hte stable can improve one at 40's.

3.15 Chester - STANDRING - Nicely bred newcomer who has drawn well at 40's

3.52 Chester - BARNWELL BOY - Not a lot since debut win, but doubt we've seen the best of him at 14's.

4.00 Bath - THE COLA KID - Been running well at a lower level and has the one stall for this step up in class at 16's.
