Got three kids stopping tonight. We've just watched Jungle Cruise starring the Rock. Load of bollocks but we all enjoyed it .

Haven't watched Silicon Valley or Black Monday, but will give them a go when I get the chance.

Watched The Suicide Squad on Wednesday, I'm not usually a fan of superhero films and basically went to see this as there was fuck all else on which either wasn't a cartoon or had terrible reviews. Actually quite enjoyed it - some genuinely laugh-out-loud moments.

I thought we'd sp0ken about Silicon Valley. You're in for a treat mate, you will definitely like it. It takes three episodes to get into but if you don't piss yourself watching season one finale I'll be amazed

Excellent . just trying to get them out there for everyone to enjoy .

Mate, this knocks the shit out of the good place . i’m in danger of overhyping it now and we all know how that ends .

Silicon Valley is just so fucking clever . watch the whole of series one and don’t fast forward any of it and if you don’t like it , i’ll give you your money back .

It’s making the world a better place

Seen have you watched 'Rake' an Aussie tv series about a Barrister who takes on cases nobody else wants because he's a bit of a loser/romantic/piss head on the law front.

There's some larger than life characters in the show that make it compulsive and hilarious viewing at times.

I'd say it's right up your street.

Squid Game on netflix, just watch it.
Don't watch the trailer either as it gives too much away imo.

It's about losers in society who have squandered money and ruined their lives usually through gambling or bad investments or whatever and having the chance to turn around their lives by playing games for a pot of money.

I'm saying nothing else or going to try and compare it to anything else as I really don't want to give anything anyway.

I will say though that episode 6 is the best TV I've seen since Ozymandias in BB.

It's South Korean, they really have brought out some cracking stuff in recent years.

Finished Silicon Valley, ODM was right, it's a great show. Yes I liked Gilfoyle but my fav was probably Jian Yang, the little fucking weirdo :lol

Will give Rake a try, sounds decent.

Saw Squid Game advertised on Netflix, looked both intriguing and naff at the same time, checked out the reviews and they are nearly all positive so gonna watch that soon.

Went to the cinema to watch Free Guy, a solid 8/10. Ryan Reynolds plays an NPC in an open world computer game who discovers he's an NPC in an open world computer game :p Good action/comedy fun.

Just finished season 3 of Slasher, completely far-fetched as usual but entertaining if you enjoy Scream-type shows.

Looking forward to upcoming returning shows like You, Dexter, Ozark, The Sinner and Young Sheldon.

Manhunt is getting good reviews (ITV) so might give that a go.

If you do watch Rake Seen, give the last season a miss.
I don't know what happened but it's like they brought in a whole load of new scriptwriters who hadn't watched the series.

Currently halfway through episode 2, liking it so far. I think I've found your review on Rotten Tomatoes...:p

I've never seen anything like this. Rake was so engaging and fun for the first four seasons. Then, the minute Season 5 started, it transformed into a muddled, unfunny mess. As the season progressed, it only got worse. It's distasteful, it tosses all the characters carefully established in the previous seasons into the trash, and it proposes ridiculous scenarios rather than try to keep at least a toe or two in reality. Season 5 doesn't have any of the charm, humor, fantastic writing and wordplay of the first four seasons. It's been debated and argued, and the creator of the show has argued back his angry refusal to acknowledge what a stinker's bridge this show is. My guess is he had a bad drug habit or mental breakdown which started at the onset of the writing for this season, or perhaps he fell and hit his head. Maybe he was kicked in the head by a farm animal. But regardless of the reasons, Season 5 of Rake is a real turd. I am truly sorry I watched it as I loved Rake, but now I will never think of the series the same again.
