Of yesterday's Isaac Wonder is the one to look for next time out.

I'm not at work today so I've got absolutely no excuse for not putting up today's donkeys. Of course, Sod being Sod, I've had a winner that was a massive 33/1 last night. After such a shit run, that's just what I would expect to happen the day that I don't put them up. I've also had 7 losers but I'll just put the remaining three up for today and make a note (a real note, a mental note is just not fucking good enough with my memory being what it is these days) to make sure I put tomorrow's up, along with the ones I've already backed for Royal Ascot.

500 Pontefract Sorbonne. Put this one in my tracker after its debut but it has done absolutely nothing to justify the promise that I thought I'd seen in it. Only an idiot would persevere with it so 10pts ew 5/1 (10 runners)

505 Kempton Aegeus. Back at the distance that its only win came at. Didn't run a bad race the other week but has been dropped 2 lbs for it. 20pts 2/1

825 Chep Paeso which looks to me like it is on a decent handicap mark but was drifting like a barge in the betting last night. Good to see that the price is coming back in again which gives me the confidence for a 10pt ew bet at 6/1 (8 runners)

Just to clarify, the 33/1 backed in winner wasn't one out of my notebook, it was one suggested from someone who's views I respect and I often back some of the ones that he suggests are overpriced. They are few and far between and I have included them in my list of bets in the past. I don't male a point of highlighting them specifically as his, not because I want to claim the credit but because I don't think it's a particularly fair to do so (especially the night before) . As I say, they are very, very rare but the reason I mention it now is because this one has won and the upshot of that is that my own particular form is still fucking shocking

I've come to the decision that Aegeus just isn't a genuine animal and I'm dropping it from my tracker. May have done better if it had just been able to run in a straight line rather than having to change direction to make its attack but it is effectively a plodder and I can see it winning a race by sticking on at one pace and overtaking horses that have gone to fast early on as it lacks a burst of speed to do anything else at this grade.

Royal Ascot starts today so a couple of races with three runners in but they are all decent prices so that's fine

Forgot to put stake on Jacks Point and it was the only fucker that placed I am a twat. It was supposed to be 5pt ew but I'm going to have to go with 3pts ew for the sake of fairness as I didn't put that. It was only 20/1 earlier but ended up 2nd at 66/1 so that would return 42.6 pts

I've just totted the rest up and the total stake for the day is 158 pts (just to help me out when I'm doing the P and L later.

Second Ascot race, Maries Diamond 3rd returning 33pts

Scorched Breath traded 1.33 before getting beaten into second place. Still a return of 11 points returning 86.6 so far

As I said, Scorched Breath traded 1.33 and lost but at least it returned 22 pts taking the returns to 108.6
Solo Saxophone won at 10/1 returning 140pts, 248.6 in total making a profit of 90.6

Delegate the lady then won at 20/1 returning another 130 points making a massive 220.6 points profit (would have been even more if I'd put the stakes against Jack's Point like I should have done )
