My younger brother and sister are big xfactor fans so whoever they fancy to win i would usually put a few quid on, i've backed craig at 18/1 on their advice, he looks like he has a great chance.

What's their track record in the past been like then?

    Yesterday's Bettingzone Market News:

1610: We told you at 1205 about the latest X Factor betting and Paddy Power are one firm particularly cautious where laying Nu Vibe to be the next eliminated is concerned, offering just 6/4.

The firm are also one of several who now make Nancy Dell'Olio their favourite to be eliminated from Strictly Come Dancing.

Paddy Power said: "It is early days, but I am amazed Nancy is still in Strictly considering her score from the judges last week. She could be the next Anne Widdecombe or John Sergeant –beating the odds every week and getting through on the popular vote.

"And whilst Nu Vibe are our favourites for the chop on the X Factor, it has to be said there are other acts which are no better than them, so who knows how that one will pan out."

well lost another 2.4 pts last week as my antepost selections continue to be flops. this was offset a little by a 2.1 pt gain on amelia lily's elimination so currently running @ - 3.1 pts

i've had another couple of bets but i'm not counting them as they are free bets
1.4 pts @3.5 Janet Devlin win
0.6 pts @34.0 Mischa B bottom 2 (cheeky one based on her negative publicity today)

ok my pre-show bet for next elimination is a 5 pt dutch (3.1 & 8.5) on Johnny Robinson & NuVibe

    Reasons:
NV got awful judges comments and bad VT last week even though they had a decent running order. there's no reason why they wouldn't be given an early sloy this week and if their song is the rumoured boys II men track i expect them to struggle vocally.

JR although being set up as the comedy i don't think is generating as much interest as wagnar last year so may struggle to keep just avoiding the bottom 2 as he did.

either of these could be joined in the bottom 2 by kitty brucknell but she will be saved.

the fly in the ointment i think is sami brookes who i think will also struggle - but last week she got universal praise and a decent running order so i'm thinking they want to keep her around a little longer.

i may add some savers post show depending on running order, songs and judges comments.

    Songs tonight:

Craig Colton - Best Thing I Ever Had

Johnny Robinson - Can't Get You Out Of My Head

Janet Devlin - I Can't Help Falling In Love With You

    Rhythmix - I'm Like A Bird

Kitty Brucknell - It's Oh So Quiet

Sami Brookes - I Will Always Love You

The Risk - Just The Way You Are

    Marcus Collins - Russian Roulette

    Frankie Cocozza - The Scientist

Nu Vibe - With Or Without You

Misha B - Would I Lie To You

Sophie Habibis - Wherever You Will Go

    -----------------------------------

Those look solid plays for tonight Rob - I'm going to swerve the elims for another couple of weeks in favour of some in play outright action.

Some interesting choices there - Frankie's will be a bit of a laboured dirge, I assume Misha's is the Eurythmics rather than Charles and Eddie, in which case it will suit her voice down to the ground.

Overall it looks a lineup which will suit current market favourites...a lot depending on running order too. Long term will be opposing Frankie, The Risk, Misha and Craig, but of those it's only Frankie I think I'd look to lay this early.

    Any thoughts on those songs?

NuVibe have had some negative press by all accounts. I can't help but feel that With or Without you is too cult for them. It is U2s most recognised song and they'll murder it. Certainly in the run in.

I'm going to watch for the first time tonight. I've been very negative about it this year. Just can't get motivated since I talked myself out of Misha B.

don't knock yourself out on mischa gav - she had very negative press today.

no real views on the songs except the nu vibe one seems set up for them to fail while the kitty brucknell one may just keep her out of the bottom three.

btw how do you work the in play market for the outrights?

Just going to trade during the songs Rob - expecting a few to drop as they perform(provided they get a good running order.) Mischa should perform well, but I dont really rate her long term chances so looking at an in and out job.

Based on who is on early we should be able to work out who will perform in the last 3.

Nu Vibe surely nailed on for the bottom 2 having been up first - and looks like judges and producers want rid v early to focus on the Risk.

Yeah I thought her song arrangement was very anorexic. No drama whatsoever. The ramping was immense though. Even though it's my first week watching, it's clear she's plan a.
