Well the bookies haven't come out right but you get the idea of the prices.

Nottingham Forest were continually underpriced throughout the last season, despite bringing new meaning to the term "totally shit".

So I'm looking at the Championship

and wondering how a shit team with a shit manager and massive debts to pay back to the dead ex-owner at the end of next season can possibly be as short a price. Seems like this is the answer.

Nottingham Forest stay silent on Kuwaiti takeover rumours

Nottingham Forest have refused to comment on growing speculation that they are on the verge of being taken over by a Kuwaiti millionaire.

A report in the Kuwait Times claims businessman Fawaz Al-Hasawi is close to a deal for Forest or Leeds United.

Al-Hasawi resigned as chairman of Al-Qadsiya Sports Club this week.

Forest have been for sale since October 2011 when Nigel Doughty resigned as chairman but his death in February has made the sale more complicated.
    A

    statement on the Forest website

said the matter was being driven by Doughty's estate and investment bankers Seymour Pierce and the club were "unable to respond to media speculation".

Before anyone lumps their money on them. they may like to reflect that similar stories abounded about teams like Leicester City and Notts County in recent years and they are in the same divisions now as they were then.

Fingers crossed that the Kuwaiti with more money than sense goes for Leeds rather than Forest (hasn't enough money been pumped into that bottomless pit over recent years?) but I'm backing both of them for promotion anyway with the hope that one of them at least will give me a run for my money to the end of the season. 11/2 Forest. 9/2 Leeds.

I told myself that I was done with antepost bets after last year's losses but sod it, it will be money well spent if it stops these pair from getting promoted.

It looks like it's going to be a cracking Championship this yr with no really stand out teams jumping off the page, what are the odds for the Winner having an initial beginning with the letter 'B'? :lol

I wouldnt touch Birmingham, as anything could happen. They were single figures to both win the division & finish bottom last season, & its much the same now. The FA dont believe the accounts, the owners all over the place. Foster has gone, Mutch has either gone or is going & hasnt someone had a bid on them that hasnt even played but the add ons are big? ODM highlighted an article on them a few months back & I'm coming round to that thinking tbh. Clarke is a good appointment but as soon as he shows anything & someone else is interested he'll be off. If they sink I dont think we'll see them back for a long time, if ever

I'm on Cardiff at 9/2 for promotion. That's based on the optimism of the Cardiff fan at work who reckons £100m looks like being pumped in. It could all go wrong I suppose, but apparently there's a good chance of it happening and if it does the money should all but ensure promotion. If it doesn't, well, Cardiff would probably be looking for at least the play-offs anyway.

Anybody who back Leicester at under 2/1 has got to be a complete cunt. Even if you fancy them there is no way on God's little green whatnot that they won't drift beyond that at some point. 7/4 and Bolton at 2/1? Get fucked

Around 12th/13th and Clough to get the sack. A brilliant appointment by the board to disguise the signing of lower league players and hide the fact that there has been fuck all improvement by signing the name that the fans all love (even though half of the cunts who turn up and pay their money have never even seen the great man, but that's the power of marketing).

There's a rumour that they may play Ward up front next season. For those of you who saw "Game of Thrones" recently, you might like to imagine the dwarf banging his head against a giant's kneecap.

Clough to get the sack? That would be a shame, i hope he exceeds expectation this season, though my thoughts were the same as yours in a 12th/13th place finish.

Betvictor have a Top Midlands club up for this league...

    Leicester 6/4
    Wolves 9/4
    Forest 5/1
    B'ham 6/1
    Derby 10/1

That Forest price has been shortening over the past week.

I've backed Blackburn to go back up. I backed them to get relegated last year and you don't know how the carnival will go this year.

It does look an open league this year and could be intetesting so i've thrown a couple of quid on them.

No, you're right, probably hasn't. But he doesnt strike me as a manager who could hold a team together in a crisis, should there be one.

I like the look of Leicester (3/1) and Cardiff (4/1) to win the league with both doing well. Small stakes, and I wouldn't normally jump in at this stage, but both look long enough for hedging to be an option if necessary.
